About Our Organization
Minneapolis Bike Parks is a grassroots organization focused on bringing off-street biking options to the parks in our amazing city. Our organization is comprised of experienced advocates, industry professionals, and passionate Minneapolis residents. We are working to engage and inform our neighbors, unite the bike community, rally advocates, and partner with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board in an effort to see bike parks (bicycle playgrounds, pump tracks, skills courses, and single track) added to our neighborhood and regional parks.
Our goal is to create safe, family friendly off-street biking options in Minneapolis parks so our youth have a dedicated place where they can learn and play on their bikes without having to be concerned about traffic or pedestrians.
Advocate for bike parks to be added to Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board master plans by participating in planning activities
Engage the community by hosting community events and initiating a pilot bike skills park in Lake Nokomis Regional Park
Identify funding sources for the implementation of the bike parks once in the master plans
Initiate bike programming options for youth
