About Our Organization
Minneapolis Bike Parks is a grassroots organization focused on bringing off-street biking options to the parks in our amazing city. Our organization is comprised of experienced advocates, industry professionals, and passionate Minneapolis residents. We are working to engage and inform our neighbors, unite the bike community, rally advocates, and partner with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board in an effort to see bike parks (bicycle playgrounds, pump tracks, skills courses, and single track) added to our neighborhood and regional parks.

Our Goal
Our goal is to create safe, welcoming off-street biking options in Minneapolis parks so our residents and visitors of all ages and abilities have a dedicated place where they can learn and play on their bikes without having to be concerned about traffic.

Our Plan
-
Advocate for bike parks to be added to Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board master plans by participating in planning activities.
-
Engage the community by hosting community events and initiating pilot bike skills parks at Lake Nokomis Regional Park, Bryn Mawr Meadows, and Northeast Park.
-
Identify funding sources and prioritization for the implementation of the bike parks in the master plans.
-
Initiate bike programming options for youth.
